Marketplace Addon Installation

The Marketplace Addon provides the admin interface for managing templates, categories, extensions, and 26 language support. Required for the server module to function properly and for multi-language support.

Prerequisites​

  • Vortexus Server Module installed
  • WHMCS 8.0+, PHP 7.4+

Step 1: Upload Files​

Upload the vortexusweb_marketplace/ folder to:

/your-whmcs/modules/addons/vortexusweb_marketplace/

Using cPanel File Manager​

  1. Log in to cPanel
  2. Open File Manager
  3. Navigate to public_html/whmcs/modules/addons/
  4. Upload the vortexusweb_marketplace folder
  5. No permission changes needed

Using FTP/SFTP​

  1. Connect via FTP client
  2. Navigate to modules/addons/
  3. Upload the entire vortexusweb_marketplace/ folder

Using SSH/Terminal​

cd /var/www/whmcs/modules/addons/
cp -r /path/to/downloaded/vortexusweb_marketplace ./

Step 2: Set Extension Folder Permissions​

The extensions/ folder needs write permissions to allow uploading extensions:

For Apache (SSH/Terminal)​

chmod 775 /var/www/whmcs/modules/addons/vortexusweb_marketplace/extensions/
chown www-data:www-data /var/www/whmcs/modules/addons/vortexusweb_marketplace/extensions/

For Nginx (SSH/Terminal)​

chmod 775 /var/www/whmcs/modules/addons/vortexusweb_marketplace/extensions/
chown nginx:nginx /var/www/whmcs/modules/addons/vortexusweb_marketplace/extensions/

Using cPanel​

  1. Navigate to modules/addons/vortexusweb_marketplace/
  2. Right-click on extensions folder
  3. Select Change Permissions
  4. Set to 775

Step 3: Activate the Addon​

  1. Go to Setup → Addon Modules
  2. Find Vortexus Marketplace
  3. Click Activate
  4. Click Configure
  5. Set admin access permissions
  6. Click Save Changes

Step 4: License Activation​

The Vortexus module requires a valid license to function. The license status is displayed on the dashboard.

Finding Your Purchase Code​

  1. If purchased from VorxHub Marketplace:

Activating the License​

  1. Go to Addons → Vortexus Marketplace
  2. Click License in the sidebar menu
  3. Enter your purchase code
  4. Click Activate

Managing License Activations​

For Regular Licenses (1 activation)​

If moving to a new WHMCS installation:

  1. Go to https://vorxhub.com/workspace/purchases
  2. Click Actions next to your purchase
  3. Click License Activations
  4. Delete the current activation
  5. Reactivate on the new installation

For Extended Licenses (unlimited)​

No activation limits - can be used on multiple installations.

License Status​

The dashboard shows:

  • Active (green) - License is valid
  • Not Activated (red) - License needs activation
  • Purchase code (masked)
  • License type (Regular/Extended)

Step 5: Access the Marketplace​

Go to Addons → Vortexus Marketplace

Dashboard Features​

The dashboard provides:

  • License Status - View and manage your license
  • View Templates - Manage all templates
  • Add Template - Create new template
  • Sync Pterodactyl - Import nests/eggs
  • Manage Categories - Organize templates
  • Extensions - Install addons like Multi-Servers
  • Language Selector - Change admin panel language (25+ languages)

Initial Setup​

  1. Activate License - Complete license activation first
  2. Sync Pterodactyl - Import nests as categories and eggs as templates
  3. Configure Templates - Add icons, descriptions, screenshots
  4. Activate Templates - Enable templates for clients

Troubleshooting​

Addon Not Appearing​

  • Clear WHMCS cache: Utilities → System → Clear Cache
  • Verify folder uploaded to correct location

Extension Upload Errors​

  • Set extensions/ folder permissions to 775
  • Verify web server user ownership

License Issues​

"License not activated" Error​

  1. Check license status in the dashboard
  2. Activate license using the purchase code
  3. If purchased elsewhere, open a support ticket

"Too many activations" Error​

  1. For Regular licenses: Delete old activation at vorxhub.com/workspace/purchases
  2. For Extended licenses: Contact support if activation limit reached

Purchase Code Not Working​

  • Verify purchase code is correct
  • Check if license is already activated elsewhere
  • Contact support with purchase details
